No Way is a song by Fifth Harmony included in their second studio album, 7/27, which debuted on May 27, 2016.

BackgroundEdit

Lauren Jauregui wrote what this song meant to her: "It’s insane how much we have been through with “No Way”. It actually was recorded about 2 years ago when we were starting to record the first album, Reflection. The second we got this song I remember listening to it over and over and over and over again with Victoria Monét singing the demo on it (who has one of the most beautiful voices ever) and I just connected so intensely with the lyrics. They were so raw and honest about a relationship that was just toxic but from everyone else's perspective and about how they know that they're made for each other and to love each other and to heal each other..but how that love is tricky to keep and have and hold. I just love the way the song takes you on an emotional journey and how you feel the pain of these people's indecision to love or let go. We were able to emote in a way we hadn't ever done before in our music and I think that was why it is my favorite because I felt at the time and every time I hear it now the emotion behind the words; and I hadn't felt that connected to any of the songs in that way before. I love the vulnerability and the reality of the situation. -Lauren"

Critical ResponseEdit

"The big goodbye on 7/27 comes in the form of an emotionally-charged weeper. "I know you don't want me anymore by the look on your face," they sing over a tumbling beats and light electronics. It's a bit downbeat compared to the rest of the album, but it does give their vocals space to showcase their full potential. It'll have you wondering once again just why they didn't win The X Factor USA.", according to Lewis Corner of Digitalspy.

"Lauren’s stunning, breathy vocals SOAR on this beautiful ballad of a love song. The girls really come together in this track, every one giving them all, truly conveying emotion and passion in the track.", according to Brittany Goldfield Rodrigues of ANDPOP.

LyricsEdit

Lauren:
I know you don't want me anymore by the look on your face
They say when it rains it pours, you can tell by my face

Normani:
Oh and I know, and you know that we've been here before
I think I know how it should end
We got an audience calling us crazy

Camila:
We ignore those with opinions of hate
We're not like the rest of them
Friends with insanity as of lately

Lauren:
Everyone comes with scars but you can love them away
I told you that I wasn't perfect, you told me the same
I think that's why we belong together and unashamed
I told you that I wasn't perfect, no way

Lauren & Normani:
Wa-a-a-ay, wa-a-a-ay
No way, no way

Ally (with Fifth Harmony):
When I look in your eyes (I see through to my soul)
Hmm-mm I know the core of you is good, (you're my tarnished hero)

Dinah with Fifth Harmony harmonizing (Normani):
Oh and I know (And I know), and you know how our story is told (I was told)
Only we know what it is
We got an audience calling us crazy
We ignore those with opinions of hate
We're not like the rest of them
Friends with insanity as of lately

Lauren:
Everyone comes with scars but you can love them away
I told you that I wasn't perfect, you told me the same
I think that's why we belong together and unashamed
I told you that I wasn't perfect, no way

Lauren & Normani:
Wa-a-a-ay, wa-a-a-ay
No way, no way
No way
